While one can easily learn how to analyze flow cytometry data files during an online course, it certainly would be difficult to master the flow cytometer without actually working with it. Taking advantage of the relatively stable Covid-19 situation in Switzerland and re-opening of the University of Geneva, we were able to have an on-site ‘’Introductory and refresher course" with a small group of participants. Although we could not chat freely during lunch and coffee breaks as in the past because of the coronavirus restrictions, everyone was glad to participate in practical classes.
